Today was another warm day. We started late with brunch in the Duomo square overlooking the beautiful cathedral. I decided to just have a croissant and was met with a selection, apricot, apple, whites chocolate, dark chocolate, Nutella, almond and more I can’t remember. I chose apricot and it was lovely.
Mick decided he needed a hair cut so we left him at the barber with instructions to head back to the Duomo or call us. We headed to the shopping triangle and may or may not have ended up in Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Mick finished and we have him instructions but after an hour of us trying to get him to find us in Louis Vuitton the lovely girl who was helping us in LV spoke to him and guided him to us. We had to admit blame as we had walked into Gucci and walked out another door thinking we were in the same street, therefore our directions were wrong... oops. So poor Mick not only had the most expensive haircut ever €50 ($80) but also walked about 5 km trying to find us.
After our ahem "visit" to LV we decided Aperol Spritzes and lunch was well deserved so we headed back to the Aperol Bar which overlooks the Duomo. A perfect spot for lunch and a rest from the heat. After lunch we wandered around watching the many buskers and street entertainment.
We headed to the Amarni Bar as I’d been following them on Insta so was keen to visit and have happy hour drinks. It had the most amazing view and was just gorgeous inside with the most lovely staff. We had a few drinks and snacks were served which were just delicious. Photos below.
We wandered back for dinner at Valentino Vintage restaurant which is like an old style Italian restaurant complete with piano player. Again finishing the night with lemoncello...... ahhh goodnight Milano
