Yesterday we went to my favourite place Notre Dame Cathedral. Again we went in the morning before all the tourist buses and the line moved fairly fast. Notre Dame never fails to impress me and I think if I was a church goer, this is where I’d choose to worship. It has the most comforting feel about it. We all lit some candles and enjoyed the stroll through.
After this we jumped on the hop on hop off bus as it does a great loop of the city giving the history as you go. It was very hot again so we hopped off at the Champs Elysee and had some lunch before jumping back on for the tour.
Later in the afternoon Leisa and I had a rather expensive wash & blow dry you have to pay an extra €9 for conditioner!! It was so nice to have bouncy clean hair again.
We’d booked in to Chez Mademoiselle, the restaurant next door for dinner so we went down early for drinks. This place is amazing, a young female owner and she is smashing it. The staff and food is just gorgeous. It’s a very local restaurant full of fun and laughter. People were lined up all night to come in, even as we left at about 11pm they were still coming in. As more people arrived there were tables being brought outside further up the pavement and people standing in the street having a few drinks, so different to in Australia where you’d only be allowed to sit in the designated area and definitely no drinking on the street!! We enjoyed ourselves and had a nice boozy night.
We’re also loving the long days with daylight until around 9pm.
