Montpellier

Yesterday  we went for a drive to the city of Montpellier. We will be there again over night on Friday but decided it wouldn't be enough time so we'd have a potter around yesterday. We managed to find our way there without too many round the block turns. The biggest problem we faced is some of the roads look as though they are just tram tracks, as they are shared with trams and although we have GPS it still gets a little confusing.  So after a couple of around the blocks while we worked out where to go we were comfortably parked under Le Corum and walking under the beautiful big trees towards the square.  I'd forgotten how beautiful Montpellier is and also how many shoe shops they have.  Last time I ran up the credit card with winter boots, this time summer sandals :)

We hopped on the Petit Train which took us through the old town, this was a fab idea as the temperature was again 30+ degrees, too hot to walk as far as the little train took us.

Being us, we walked, shopped and ate our way through the old town.

Last night we went to dinner at the home of the couple who own the apartment we're staying in.  They are Swedish and have just moved permanently to Pezenas. Lots of wine and laughs.

Some pics xx
