Home away from home...

We are in Pezenas at last.  I feel like I haven't left. It's gloriously warm here and after reading about the weather back home I'm certainly glad to be in 30 degree heat.

We flew down to Montpellier and picked up our car, which was upgraded to an almost brand new Mercedes, ooh la la! I was wondering how I would feel driving on the wrong side of the road again and fortunately it feels comfortable so I'm happy. We stopped at a little seaside village called Meze on the way for a delicious lunch of oysters, salad and frites washed down with a glass of Picpoul de Pinet, a local wine to drink with oysters, while sitting beside the small port. It was picture perfect.

We then headed on to Pezenas, the road was so familiar, tree lined streets and green vineyards. Nothing much has changed and it's such a slow pace, just what we needed after Paris.

We've been down to the little stall and picked up another dozen oysters to have as a snack before dinner, I think we'll have our fair share before we leave.

Pezenas markets tomorrow ;)
