We were up early today to catch the fast train to Reims from Gare de L'est. Reims is in the Champagne region and we'd booked a tour of the Mumm Champagne House. Anyone who knows me well will know it's my absolute favourite champagne. We had a tour of the underground caves (cellars) which was interesting and then we went on to taste...aaah perfect French bubbles.
We then had the most delicious lunch of foi gras with fat spears of asparagus for entree and lamb fillet with Comte cheese for main. We also had some Blanc de Blanc from Champagne Besserat de Bellefon which was gorgeous and light.
Another day of constant walking. I really should have packed my fit bit.
