eat, shop,eat, nap,eat sleep repeat

It's definitely been a much slower pace here in Pezenas. It's been 33 degrees each day which has been lovely. Yesterday was market day, the weekly markets are held in our street so the morning starts early as we hear the stall holders set up.

We shopped for supplies for our lunch and for the fridge during the week. We came back with delicious fruits and vegetable as well as cheese, olives, white anchovies, pickled garlic and more. We visited the linen clothing stall and bought some gorgeous clothes for a fraction of the price we'd pay at home, came back ate a delicious lunch then napped lol.

Last night we went to a lovely little restaurant and had Moules (mussels) and frites which were absolutely heavenly. 1kg of mussels each with chips, a carafe of wine and icecream for dessert came to 48 euro which is approx $70. Probably about the same price as a good bottle of wine in a restaurant at home. I love the south of France! We wanted to drink Rosé last night but because we'd ordered seafood the young waiter told us we had to have white, they certainly take their wine seriously here :)

This morning we decided to go to the supermarket to buy some bits and pieces we couldn't get from the markets. We took a little shopping basket and ended up spending more than 2 hours there and had to buy a little wheelie trolley to get it all home! Who does that on holidays? We had a ball!  So it was back for another delicious spread for lunch, off to the shops for a walk around and now nap time before dinner .... This place is lethal :)

Some pics.
