We’ve just had 3 nights in London and the wedding fever was crazy. There were flags and streamers everywhere and a real festive spirit. When we checked in at British Airways they were handing out cake the same flavour as the wedding cake and the check in girls were all dressed up with crowns and flags. Lots of fun.
We did the usual sights, Buckingham Palace, changing of the guard, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Harrods and of course Ted Baker.
There are so many wonderful restaurants in London but we found ourselves in pubs all 3 nights having good old British pub food.
We did a Jack the Ripper walking tour which was interesting, mostly because we were in areas we dared not venture on our own. While our group was in a park there were people over in the corner using drugs, another on the ground having a seizure, it was certainly more interesting than looking at murder sights which are no longer there 😉
We all enjoyed London, the weather was perfect and there’s so much to see and do. I think a longer stay in the future is needed.
We’re on our way home now, excited to be seeing everyone but sad that it’s all finished. It’s been a wonderful 5 weeks and the best thing is we’re all still friends.
Looking forward to having you home but loved your trip xx
