Too loose in Toulouse

Title courtesy of Ken, who cracked himself up 😉

We arrived in Toulouse yesterday to freezing weather, our jackets and scarves finally came out, it was a shock to the system.

Toulouse is a really pretty city and I know I said I fell in love with Florence and Italy but being back in France has made me realise France will always be where I’d like to be (aside from home of course). I feel so at home here and would love to spend more time in Toulouse.

Today was a bit of a nothing day. We walked around trying to buy an esky or cooler to take on the boat tomorrow. What a fun time that was lol. We were in a department store and Mick had 6 staff in a circle around him trying to understand what he was after, I should have taken a photo as it looked so funny. He did hit the jackpot and we walked out of there with the prize :). We also headed to a little department store to buy some cheap jumpers for the boat.

We visited the undercover market to see what we will purchase tomorrow (to put in our esky) and got very excited.  Cheeses, olives, duck, pasta, vegetables, meat, prosciutto and many other lovely French delights.

It’s also been refreshing to be somewhere not as tourist driven as Venice was. Most of the places we were today we were the only English speaking people and had to use poor French and google translate. I loved it ❤️  even our hotel is full of French guests, we’ve not heard a single English voice.

We’ve had a few lovely meals and lunch today I had a gorgeous little puppy sitting on the bench seat next to me in her mummies hand bag. So very cute.

The weather is meant to be warming up, we are certainly hoping so for the boat trip tomorrow.  We did organise a WiFi modem so it depending on the signal as to whether the blog can be updated regularly or not.
